STOVE INSTALLATIONS

Stove installations, with or without a chimney.

My reputation, experience and HETAS qualifications underpin every installation. I offer liner-drop installations through existing chimneys and twin-wall flue installations for homes without a chimney.

For your peace of mind, I also carry £2 million public liability insurance.

What is a liner-drop installation?

A flexible flue liner is fitted through an existing chimney as partof a suitable stove installation. The approach depends on your chimney, appliance and access.

A photograph can help start the conversation, but the work and quotation depend on assessing the property. Tell me whether you already have a stove, an existing liner or a fireplace ready for installation.

Start with your home

  • Your postcode and a photo of the whole fireplace.
  • The stove make and model, if you have chosen one.
  • Any known chimney dimensions or previous lining work.
  • Whether the fireplace opening and hearth are already prepared.

I offer both liner-drop installations through existing chimneys and twin-wall flue installations where there is no chimney. If your project includes opening up a fireplace or other building work, mention this at the enquiry stage so the work can be discussed.

No chimney? A twin-wall flue could be the answer.

A twin-wall flue is an insulated flue system that provides a route for stove fumes where a traditional chimney is not available. The route and suitability are assessed for your property and chosen appliance.

Send photos of the proposed stove location and the outside of your property, along with your postcode, to discuss a twin-wall installation.

Installation questions

Can I supply my own stove?

Include the make and model in your enquiry. Its suitability and the installation requirements need to be assessed before work is agreed.

Can you give a price from a photograph?

Photos help with initial advice. A final quotation depends on the chimney, fireplace, appliance, access and agreed work.

Do you undertake fireplace knock-outs?

I offer liner-drop and twin-wall flue installations. Mention any fireplace alterations you need so these can be discussed before a quote is prepared.
